Complex dynamical invariants for two-dimensional complex potentials

Pramana, 2012
Complex dynamical invariants are searched out for two-dimensional complex potentials using rationalization method within the framework of an extended complex phase space characterized by x = x1 + ip3, y = x2 + ip4, px = p1 + ix3, py = p2 + ix4. It is found that the cubic oscillator and shifted harmonic oscillator admit quadratic complex invariants. The

Phase-Equivalent Complex Potentials

Nuclear Physics A, 1996
Potentials providing the same complex phase shifts as a given complex potential but with a shallower real part are constructed with supersymmetric transformations. Successive pairs of transformations eliminate normalizable solutions corresponding to complex eigenvalues of the Schrodinger equation with the full complex potential.

Complex absorbing potentials

Physics Reports, 2004
Abstract We review the construction and use of complex potentials in reactive scattering and other molecular collisions to calculate continuum quantities (such as state-to-state transition probabilities, cumulative reaction probabilities, or resonance characteristics) with finite grid or finite basis methods.

Potential and complexity

Tourism Management, 1992
Abstract The potential and complexity of marketing Jordan internationally are discussed. Although Jordan has been at peace for over two decades, uncontrollable regional conflicts affect the number of international tourists that Jordan is capable of attracting.

Understanding complex perturbative effective potentials

Physical Review D, 1987
We examine the situation where the perturbatively calculated effective potential develops an imaginary part. We show that his imaginary part has a natural interpretation as a decay rate per unit volume of a well-defined state and that it agrees quantitatively with an independent calculation of this rate.

Complex Yukawa potentials

Annals of Physics, 1962
Abstract An investigation is made of a variant of the Yukawa potential for which the scattering amplitude may have no more analyticity in momentum transfer than the Lehmann ellipse. A representation, the generalization of the Mandelstam representation to this case, is written down, and unitarity used to determine the spectral function.

Effects of the third-order dispersion on continuous waves in complex potentials

European Physical Journal D : Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics, 2017
A class of constant-amplitude (CA) solutions of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation with the third-order spatial dispersion (TOD) and complex potentials are considered.

A potential LINC complex

2023
Apicomplexan parasites include some of the most important pathogens, such as Plasmodium spp., the causative agent of malaria, or Toxoplasma gondii, the causative agent of toxoplasmosis. As obligate intracellular parasites, Apicomplexa invade host cells in an active process, where they replicate within a parasitophorous vacuole, followed by egress and ...
