ABSTRACT Background Chronic kidney disease is a growing public health problem worldwide, and the number of patients requiring renal replacement therapy is steadily increasing. Türkiye has experienced a similar rise in both the incidence and prevalence of renal replacement therapy over the past decades; however, national‐level projections of future ...

Abelian theorems for the stieltjes transform of functions, II
An initial (final) value Abelian theorem concerning transforms of functions is a result in which known behavior of the function as its domain variable approaches zero (approaches ∞) is used to infer the behavior of the transform as its domain variable ...

On the poles of topological zeta functions [PDF]
We study the topological zeta function Z_{top,f}(s) associated to a polynomial f with complex coefficients. This is a rational function in one variable and we want to determine the numbers that can occur as a pole of some topological zeta function; by ...

Feynman integral in $\mathbb R^1\oplus\mathbb R^m$ and complex expansion of $_2F_1$
Closed form expressions are proposed for the Feynman integral $$ I_{D, m}(p,q) = \int\frac{d^my}{(2\pi)^m}\int\frac{d^Dx}{(2\pi)^D} \frac1{(x-p/2)^2+(y-q/2)^4} \frac1{(x+p/2)^2+(y+q/2)^4} $$ over $d=D+m$ dimensional space with $(x,y),\,(p,q)\in

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Identities involving iterated integral transforms
A number of identities involving iterated integral transforms are established, making use of the fact that a function which is a linear combination of the Macdonald's function Kν(z), where z is a complex variable, is a Fourier kernel.

Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Foundational aspects of a new matrix holomorphic structure [PDF]
Purpose – In this paper we talk about complex matrix quaternions (biquaternions) and we deal with some abstract methods in mathematical complex matrix analysis. Design/methodology/approach – We introduce and investigate the complex space HC consisting of

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
