Inclusion–exclusion principle for open quantum systems with bosonic bath
We present two fast algorithms which apply inclusion–exclusion principle to sum over the bosonic diagrams in bare diagrammatic quantum Monte Carlo and inchworm Monte Carlo method, respectively.

Automatic Complexity Analysis [PDF]
We consider the problem of automating the derivation of tight asymptotic complexity bounds for solving Horn clauses. Clearly, the solving time crucially depends on the "sparseness" of the computed relations. Therefore, our asymptotic runtime analysis is accompanied by an asymptotic sparsity calculus together with an asymptotic sparsity analysis.

Learned Signal-to-Noise Ratio Estimation in Optical Fiber Communication Links
This paper proposes a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) estimator based on recurrent neural network (RNN) in optical fiber communication links. The proposed estimator jointly estimates the linear and nonlinear components of the SNR.

On the Descriptive Complexity of Color Coding
Color coding is an algorithmic technique used in parameterized complexity theory to detect “small” structures inside graphs. The idea is to derandomize algorithms that first randomly color a graph and then search for an easily-detectable, small color ...

Modified Distribution Entropy as a Complexity Measure of Heart Rate Variability (HRV) Signal
The complexity of a heart rate variability (HRV) signal is considered an important nonlinear feature to detect cardiac abnormalities. This work aims at explaining the physiological meaning of a recently developed complexity measurement method, namely ...

Complex Analysis as Catalyst [PDF]
We illustrate the general principle that complex analysis can be a good setting for posing problems that are best solved using techniques from other mathematical disciplines. Several examples are provided.

Advanced Complex Trait Analysis [PDF]
Abstract Motivation: The Genome-wide Complex Trait Analysis (GCTA) software package can quantify the contribution of genetic variation to phenotypic variation for complex traits. However, as those datasets of interest continue to increase in size, GCTA becomes increasingly computationally prohibitive.
