Integration of “Components” to Test Software Components

open access: yesElectronic Notes in Theoretical Computer Science, 2003
We present an ongoing research project aimed at developing a framework for component-based testing, in which we re-use and suitably combine some existing tools: the system architecture and the components are specified by the UML, and specifically the recently proposed UML Components methodology; the test cases are derived by applying the Cow Suite, an ...

Exercise Interventions in Children, Adolescents and Young Adults With Paediatric Bone Tumours—A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Bone tumours present significant challenges for affected patients, as multimodal therapy often leads to prolonged physical limitations. This is particularly critical during childhood and adolescence, as it can negatively impact physiological development and psychosocial resilience.

A component lasso

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, 2015
AbstractWe propose a new sparse regression method called thecomponent lasso, based on a simple idea. The method uses the connected‐components structure of the sample covariance matrix to split the problem into smaller ones. It then applies the lasso to each subproblem separately, obtaining a coefficient vector for each one.

Relevant components in critical random Boolean networks

open access: yes, 2006
Random Boolean networks were introduced in 1969 by Kauffman as a model for gene regulation. By combining analytical arguments and efficient numerical simulations, we evaluate the properties of relevant components of critical random Boolean networks ...
