Characterization and phylogenetic analysis of the complete chloroplast genome of Emilia sonchifolia (L.) DC.

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2023
Emilia sonchifolia is a herb with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antitumor, and wound healing properties. The complete chloroplast genome (cp genome) of the genus Emilia was sequenced for the first time. The cp genome of E.

Morphometric Analysis and Synopsis of Pseudognaphalium (Gnaphalieae, Asteraceae) in North America

open access: yesAnais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências, 2022
Pseudognaphalium Kirp. (Asteraceae, Gnaphalieae) consist of about 60 species mainly distributed in South, Central, and North America. As a first contribution toward a comprehensive taxonomic review of Pseudognaphalium, we perform here the first ...

Tumor‐stromal crosstalk and macrophage enrichment are associated with chemotherapy response in bladder cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemoresistance in bladder cancer: Macrophage recruitment associated with CXCL1, CXCL5 and CXCL8 expression is characteristic of Gemcitabine/Cisplatin (Gem/Cis) Non‐Responder tumors (right side) while Responder tumors did not show substantial tumor‐stromal crosstalk (left side). All biological icons are attributed to Bioicons: carcinoma, cancerous‐cell‐

Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...

The complete chloroplast genome of Opisthopappus taihangensis (Ling) Shih

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2019
Opisthopappus taihangensis (Ling) Shih is a monotypic species (Anthemideae, Asteraceae) and an endemic endangered plant of China. In this study, we sequenced the complete chloroplast genome of O. taihangensis using Illumina HiSeq X Ten platform.

Current advances in genomics and breeding of leaf chicory (Cichorium intybus L.) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This review gives an overview of agricultural topics on a non-model species, in other words, leaf chicory. Often classified as a minor crop, \u201cRadicchio\u201d, the Italian name of leaf chicory, is assuming a very important role at both a local and ...

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.
