Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

APPLICATION OF THE COMPOSITE MIXTURE IN THE PRODUCTION OF FLOUR CONFECTIONERY PRODUCTS

open access: yesАлматы технологиялық университетінің хабаршысы, 2022
Currently, the combination of trends in the increase in the biological value of food products forces manufacturers to seek new non-traditional sources of plant raw materials for the production of confectionery products. One of the most effective areas of

The properties of composite materials of ternary mixtures based on gypsum [PDF]

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2017
In this paper, properties of composite materials containing ternary binders are determined. Except gypsum, ternary binders containing also pozzolans and alkaline component, which serve as an activator of pozzolanic reaction. The main aim of this research was to investigate changes in physical and chemical properties and pore structural characteristics ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Investigation of the Properties of Compositions Based on Modified Polymer Mixtures

open access: yesInternational Journal of Engineering and Advanced Technology, 2022
The properties of vulcanized compositions based on mechanical mixtures of Ethylene propylene rubber (EPR)and Ethylene propylene terpolymer (EPTR)with PVC deteriorate compared to the properties of EPR and EPTRperoxide vulcanizers, which is explained by the poor mixing of PVC with these copolymers. In the extruder of the specified polymer mixtures -145 °

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Approximation of the critical buckling factor for composite panels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This article is concerned with the approximation of the critical buckling factor for thin composite plates. A new method to improve the approximation of this critical factor is applied based on its behavior with respect to lamination parameters and ...

Thermal properties of a new ecological building material / Granular cork embedded in white cement

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2014
Cork, natural and renewable product, has thermal and acoustic properties very interesting because of its microstructure and porosity representing a significant portion of its apparent volume; it’s coming from Moroccan Maamora’s forest.
