Liquid biopsy epigenetics: establishing a molecular profile based on cell‐free DNA
Cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) fragments in plasma from cancer patients carry epigenetic signatures reflecting their cells of origin. These epigenetic features include DNA methylation, nucleosome modifications, and variations in fragmentation. This review describes the biological properties of each feature and explores optimal strategies for harnessing cfDNA ...

Distributed Stochastic Optimization over Time-Varying Noisy Network
This paper is concerned with distributed stochastic multi-agent optimization problem over a class of time-varying network with slowly decreasing communication noise effects. This paper considers the problem in composite optimization setting which is more

IRT-Linked Standard Errors of Weighted Composites
In this study, we describe an approach to calculating the standard errors of weighted scores while maintaining a link to the IRT score metric, then use the approach to compare three sets of weights. Weighting a mathematics test’s multiple-choice items, short-answer items, and extended constructedresponse items to achieve a ratio of 2:2:6 on the raw ...

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

Composite Foundation Settlement Prediction Based on LSTM–Transformer Model for CFG
Roadbed construction typically employs layered and staged filling, characterized by a periodic feature of ‘layered filling—filling interval’. The load and settlement histories established during staged construction offer crucial insights into long-term ...

The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

Optimizing signal-to-error ratio in standing wave ultrasonic measurements [PDF]
Standing wave ultrasonic techniques for the measurement of very small changes in acoustic attenuation and phase velocity are discussed. Enhanced sensitivity to these small changes was achieved by making the specimen part of a composite ultrasonic ...
