The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

Multidrug transporters BpeB and BpeF from the Gram‐negative pathogen Burkholderia pseudomallei have a hydrophilic patch in their substrate‐binding pocket. Drug susceptibility tests and growth curve analyses using an Escherichia coli recombinant expression system revealed that the hydrophilic patches of BpeB and BpeF are involved in the substrate ...

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Research on the Method of Composing Very Low Frequency Signals Based on the Staggered Array
The Very Low Frequency (VLF) signal of 10 kHz has strong penetrability of ground objects. Because of the antenna size, its application is limited. Therefore, it is important to study the VLF signal generation method based on appropriately sized high ...

Syntactical Error on Students’ Descriptive Composition
This study tries to identify types and causes of errors committed by students of English department at Language and Arts Faculty in their compositions. The compositions were descriptive in nature written by twenty-two fifth- semester students based on a predetermined topic. The data obtained was identified and then categorized to determine the types of

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.
