Modulating Two‐Photon Absorption in a Pyrene‐Based MOF Series: An In‐Depth Investigation of Structure–Property Relationships

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

Disordered Hubbard Model with Attraction: Coupling Energy of Cooper Pairs in Small Clusters

open access: yes, 2001
We generalize the Cooper problem to the case of many interacting particles in the vicinity of the Fermi level in the presence of disorder. On the basis of this approach we study numerically the variation of the pair coupling energy in small clusters as a

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Melting of Charge/Orbital Ordered States in Nd$_{1/2}$Sr$_{1/2}$MnO$_3$: Temperature and Magnetic Field Dependent Optical Studies

open access: yes, 1999
We investigated the temperature ($T=$ 15 $\sim $ 290 K) and the magnetic field ($H=$ 0 $\sim $ 17 T) dependent optical conductivity spectra of a charge/orbital ordered manganite, Nd$_{1/2}$Sr$_{1/2}$MnO$_3$.

Double Helical Plasmonic Antennas

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Plasmonic double helical antennas funnel circularly polarized light to the nanoscale, offering strong chiroptical interaction and directional light emission. Extending a single helix design tool, this study combines numerical modeling with experimental validation, revealing large, broadband dissymmetry factors in the visible range.

Tuning the Dielectric Properties of Individual Clay Nanosheets by Interlayer Composition: Toward Nano‐Electret Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The dielectric properties of clays are studied on the level of individual monolayers and functional double stacks. The material breakdown characteristics and charge storage performance are analyzed. For illustration, a defined charge pattern representing a cuneiform character is produced, written into a microscopic clay tile, referencing the origins of

Carbon-sequestration gradient insulation composites

open access: yesCell Reports Physical Science
The massive use of carbon-sequestration building materials promises a potential global carbon sink in decarbonizing the building industry. Renewable biogenic materials from abundant agriculture waste for building practice have been around over thousands of years.

Analysis of Electric Field and Temperature Distributions of Non-Uniformly Contaminated Silicone Composite Insulators Using Deep Learning

open access: yesIEEE Access
This study examines the insulation performance of a silicone composite insulator under various contamination conditions. The non-uniform pollution of a silicone composite insulator, operating in a 34.5 kV, 50 Hz power grid under atmospheric conditions ...
