Composites with graphene as reinforcement
Abstract In this paper, the developments in the area of graphene-reinforced composite have been reviewed. It also depicts the work guided by the author. In the work, WC powder with 6% cobalt (Co) and graphene (0.2%) in the form of graphene nanoplatelets (GPLs) was prepared by high energy rate ball milling and ultrasonification.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

A simplified design of a concrete sandwich structure containing a reinforcing rib
This article presents the use of a strut and tie analogy for modelling the behaviour of a concrete sandwich structure, which is formed by thin outer concrete layers made of high-performance concrete and reinforcing ribs. The beams transmitting shear are

FE modelling of a structurally stitched multilayer composite [PDF]
Finite-element models are presented for a typical structurally stitched carbonfibre composite. The term 'structural' means that the stitching yarn is thick enough to form a through-the-thickness reinforcement.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Parametric Investigation of Fatigue-Cracked Tubular T-Joint Repair Using Composite Reinforcement
Circular hollow sections (CHSs) are widely used in offshore jacket structures due to their excellent compressive strength, torsional resistance, and direction-independent stiffness.

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

The influence of pyrolitic degradation on mechanical properties of carbon fibres within recycling composite materials [PDF]
The article deals with the influence of thermal pyrolytic degradation on mechanical properties of carbon fibres used in the production of composite material. The carbon fibre has been chosen as the reinforcement of composite and the resin formed a matrix

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...
