Dual‐Mode Magnetic Elastomer for On‐Demand Motion and Degradation
A dual‐mode magnetic elastomer is introduced, enabling DC field‐driven programmable actuation and AC field‐driven magnetothermal degradation. GHz‐range magnetic fields generate ultrafast heating of magnetic nanoparticles that activates cleavage of the silicone elastomer matrix.

Fire Resistance of Composite Beams with Restrained Superposed Slabs
To investigate the fire resistance of composite beams with restrained superposed slabs, three specimens were tested under uniformly distributed loads in a furnace. The effects of the thickness of the postcast top layer in superposed slabs and the spacing

Transmission properties of left-handed band-gap structures
We analyze transmission of electromagnetic waves through a periodic band-gap structure consisting of slabs of a left-handed metamaterial and air. Using the effective parameters of the metamaterial derived from its microscopic structure, we study, with ...

3D Soft Hydrogels Induce Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells “Deep” Quiescence
Three‐dimensional soft hydrogels mimicking the bone marrow niche induce deep quiescence in human mesenchymal stem cells. Unlike 2D culture, 3D matrices halt proliferation, regulate cell‐cycle and quiescence markers, and downregulate mTORC1 signaling, preserving stem cell phenotype and therapeutic potential ex vivo.
