Injective composition operators on Lorentz–Bochner spaces

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, we extend the notion of essential range to vector-valued functions and present various equivalent conditions for the injectiveness of the composition operators alongwith a characterisation for measurable transformations inducing ...

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Approximation numbers of differences of composition operators

open access: yes
In this study we consider the approximation numbers of differences of composition operators acting on the Hardy-Hilbert space H 2 (D). We obtain both upper and lower bounds for these approximation numbers and by applying these general results to ...

Constructing Type-Safe Operators for

open access: yes, 2007
Grey-box software composition appears in many areas of software engineering: Mixin layers, aspects and traits are just a few examples and even regular inheritance can be viewed as composition. Operators used for these kinds of composition share two de

Mass spectrometry based identification of AMP‐O‐Tris generated by Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Isolated Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10 generates the noncanonical ATP‐derived product AMP‐O‐Tris while in Tris‐containing buffer as identified via mass spectrometry, revealing relaxed nucleophile selectivity under isolated conditions. These findings suggest that multiprotein Csm complex assembly restricts Cas10 reactivity toward canonical cyclic ...

Blood‐based proteomic profiling reveals context‐dependent changes in BCL2‐associated signaling during taxane therapy in breast cancer patients

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemotherapy side effects significantly impact cancer survivors' quality of life. Using protein levels in blood samples from breast cancer patients before and after 12 weeks of taxane treatment, we detected treatment‐dependent changes in calcium signaling and aging pathways associated with cancer recurrence.

Composition operators on variable exponent Bloch spaces

open access: yes
summary:We consider the composition operator $C_{\varphi }$ on the variable exponent Bloch space $\mathcal {B}^{\alpha ({\cdot })}$, which consists of all analytic functions $f$ on the unit disk $\mathbb {D}$ such that $$ \sup \{(1-|z|^2)^{\alpha (z)}|f'(

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.
