Fermiology and transport properties of the half-metallic itinerant ferromagnet CoS$_2$: influence of spin orbit coupling

open access: yes, 2010
Electronic structure calculations were performed on the compound CoS$_2$, an itinerant ferromagnet whose magnetic properties can be understood in terms of spin fluctuation theory.

Polymerase Chain Reaction. Perturbation Theory and Machine Learning Artificial Intelligence‐Experimental Microbiome Analysis: Applications to Ancient DNA and Tree Soil Metagenomics Cases of Study

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
The polymerase chain reaction (PCR).Perturbation Theory and Machine Learning framework integrates perturbation theory and machine learning to classify genetic sequences, distinguishing ancient DNA from modern controls and predicting tree health from soil metagenomic data.

First correction to JIMWLK evolution from the classical equations of motion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We calculate some ${\cal O}(\alpha_s^2)$ corrections to the JIMWLK kernel in the framework of the light-cone wave function approach to the high energy limit of QCD.

Rationale of New Grading System: Central Compartment Atopic Disease

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Central compartment atopic disease (CCAD) has recently been recognized as a distinct phenotype within the spectrum of type 2–dominant chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). Although international guidelines highlight polypoid changes in the central nasal cavity, standardized diagnostic and classification criteria are still lacking.

A positive fixed point theorem with applications to systems of Hammerstein integral equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We present new criteria on the existence of fixed points that combine some monotonicity assumptions with the classical fixed point index theory. As an illustrative application, we use our theoretical results to prove the existence of positive solutions ...

Dual Action of Dipyridamole in Experimental Rheumatoid Arthritis: Suppression of Joint Inflammation and Upregulation of Muscle Anabolism via Adenosine and AMPK pathways

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Introduction Rheumatoid sarcopenia, characterized by the progressive loss of skeletal muscle mass and function, is a frequent comorbidity in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), linked to prolonged, severe systemic inflammation. Purinergic signaling (adenosine, AMP, and ATP) plays a crucial role in inflammation, myogenesis, and muscle hypertrophy.

Tuning the Twist by Molecular Design: A New Strategy for Hexabenzocoronene‐Containing Helical Twistacene

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
An efficient Scholl–based strategy enables precise control of the C–C bond to access the first hexabenzocoronene–containing helical twistacene (NG2). The resulting nanographene shows pronounced helical distortion, high stability, enhanced solubility, and promising redox and optoelectronic properties.

Centrality dependence of the multiplicity and transverse momentum distributions at RHIC and LHC and the percolation of strings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The dependence of the multiplicity and the transverse momentum distribution on the number of collisions are studied for central and peripheral Au-Au collisions at SPS, RHIC and LHC energies in the framework of percolation of strings.
