Dynamic Characteristics of Gear System Under Compound Fault of Tooth Root Crack and Bearing Outer Ring

open access: yesMachines
Research on single faults like tooth root cracks and bearing outer ring failures is well-established. However, existing studies often replace the actual crack propagation path with a simplified linear crack model, neglecting the variation in stress ...

Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

Compound Fault Diagnosis for Gearbox based on Variational ModeDecomposition and Correlated Kurtosis

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2019
Aiming at the characteristics of non-linear, non-stationary, multi-noise and multi-fault signals of the compound fault signal in gearboxes, a compound fault diagnosis method for gearboxes based on variational mode decomposition and correlated kurtosis is

An Adaptive Deconvolution Method with Improve Enhanced Envelope Spectrum and Its Application for Bearing Fault Feature Extraction

open access: yesSensors
To address the problem that complex bearing faults are coupled to each other, and the difficulty of diagnosis increases, an improved envelope spectrum–maximum second-order cyclostationary blind deconvolution (IES-CYCBD) method is proposed to realize the ...

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Liquid biopsy epigenetics: establishing a molecular profile based on cell‐free DNA

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) fragments in plasma from cancer patients carry epigenetic signatures reflecting their cells of origin. These epigenetic features include DNA methylation, nucleosome modifications, and variations in fragmentation. This review describes the biological properties of each feature and explores optimal strategies for harnessing cfDNA ...

Dynamic Analysis of Transmission Gears With Combined Tooth Wear and Root Crack Failures

open access: yesShock and Vibration
Compound faults present a considerable challenge in fault diagnosis for gear transmission systems, as existing studies predominantly focus on individual failure modes.

Intelligent Diagnosis of Compound Faults of Gearboxes Based on Periodical Group Sparse Model

open access: yesApplied Sciences
A gearbox compound fault intelligent diagnosis method based on the period group sparse model is proposed for the problem that the fault features are coupled with each other and the fault components are superimposed on each other and difficult to be ...

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Improving PARP inhibitor efficacy in bladder cancer without genetic BRCAness by combination with PLX51107

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.
