Adaptive reweighted compressed sensing for image compression
2014 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2014According to the compressed sensing (CS) theory, a signal that is sparse in a certain domain can be nearly exactly recovered from a few measurements where the sampling rate is lower than the Nyquist rate. This theory has been successfully applied to the image compression in the past few years as most image signals are highly sparse.

Compressed Membership in Automata with Compressed Labels
2011The algorithmic problem of whether a compressed string is accepted by a (nondeterministic) finite state automaton with compressed transition labels is investigated. For string compression, straight-line programs (SLPs), i.e., contextfree grammars that generate exactly one string, are used. Two algorithms for this problem are presented.
