Relativistic magnetohydrodynamics
We present the equations of relativistic hydrodynamics coupled to dynamical electromagnetic fields, including the effects of polarization, electric fields, and the derivative expansion.

One-form superfluids & magnetohydrodynamics [PDF]
We use the framework of generalised global symmetries to study various hydrodynamic regimes of hot electromagnetism. We formulate the hydrodynamic theories with an unbroken or a spontaneously broken U(1) one-form symmetry. The latter of these describes a

Polymeric hollow fibers: a modular heat exchanger for thermal management systems of battery modules in electric vehicles [PDF]
The liquid-cooling system based on polymeric hollow fibers (ø1 mm) embedded inside durable polydicyclopentadiene is proposed for thermal management of li-ion cylindrical batteries from their surface. In the present work, a dramatically improved design is

Flow control of liquid metals based on the actual flow condition is important in many metallurgical applications. For instance, the liquid steel flow in the mould of a continuous caster strongly influences the product quality. The flow can be modified by

Ultrasound Localization Microscopy in Liquid Metal Flows
Liquid metal convection plays an important role in natural and technical processes. In experimental studies, an instrumentation with a sub-millimeter spatial resolution is required in an opaque fluid to resolve the flow field near the boundary layer ...

Magnetohydrodynamics as Superfluidity [PDF]
We show that relativistic magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) can be recast as a novel theory of superfluidity. This new theory formulates MHD just in terms of conservation equations, including dissipative effects, by introducing appropriate variables such as a magnetic scalar potential, and providing necessary and sufficient conditions to obtain equilibrium ...

Dynamo Action in Magnetohydrodynamics and Hall‐Magnetohydrodynamics [PDF]
The first direct numerical simulations of turbulent Hall dynamos are presented. The evolution of an initially weak and small-scale magnetic field in a system maintained in a stationary regime of hydrodynamic turbulence (by a stirring force at a macroscopic scale) is studied to explore the conditions for exponential growth of the magnetic energy.

Ekman boundary layers in a fluid filled precessing cylinder
The fluid flow in a precessing cylinder is investigated numerically with focus on the Ekman boundary layers in the strongly forced regime. Not surprisingly, in that regime, we find deviations from the linear theory due to significant modifications of the

On the magnetohydrodynamic load and the magnetohydrodynamic metage [PDF]
In analogy with the load and the metage in hydrodynamics, this paper defines magnetohydrodynamic load and magnetohydrodynamic metage in the case of magnetofluids. They can be used to write the magnetic field in MHD in Clebsch’s form. It has been shown herein how these two concepts can be utilized to derive the magnetic analog of the Ertel’s theorem and
