Generic text-based compression models are simple and fast but there are two issues that needs to be addressed. They cannot leverage the structure that exists in data to achieve better compression and there is an unnecessary decompression step before the

KLK7, a tissue kallikrein‐related peptidase, is elevated in advanced colorectal cancer and associated with shorter survival. High KLK7 levels in ascites correlate with peritoneal metastasis. In mice, KLK7 overexpression increases metastasis. In vitro, KLK7 enhances cancer cell proliferation, migration, adhesion, and spheroid formation, driving ...

Explainable Ensemble Learning Approaches for Predicting the Compression Index of Clays
Accurate prediction of the compression index (cc) is essential for geotechnical infrastructure design, especially in clay-rich coastal regions. Traditional methods for determining cc are often time-consuming and inconsistent due to regional variability ...

About Graph Index Compression Techniques
We perform a preliminary study on large graph efficient indexing using a gap-based compression techniques and different node labelling functions. As baseline we use the Webgraph + LLP labelling function. To index the graph we use three labelling functions: Pagerank, HITS, and Pagerank with random walks choosing restart nodes with HITS authority scores.

Aged human bmMSCs are seeded in the scaffold. Osteoblastic induction can slightly increase cell's bone‐forming activity to produce bone‐like tissues, shown as the sporadic xylenol orange‐stained spots (the lower left image). Notably, pioglitazone plus EGCG co‐treatment dramatically increases cell's bone‐forming activity and bone‐like tissue production (

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Mouse pre‐implantation development involves a transition from totipotency to pluripotency. Integrating transcriptomics, epigenetic profiling, low‐input proteomics and functional assays, we show that eight‐cell embryos retain residual totipotency features, whereas cytoskeletal remodeling regulated by the ubiquitin‐proteasome system drives progression ...

Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Mechanism of pore pressure time lag for saturated clays
Time lag of pore pressure often occurs during oedometer consolidation of saturated clays. After applying loading, the pore pressure measured at the base of specimens increases up to the maximum and then decreases with the increase in consolidation time ...
