The Comparison on the Compression Measurement Value of Medical Compression Stockings

open access: yesJournal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles, 2013
Abstract This study measured and analyzed pressure at each measurement part of imported compression stockingssold in Korea to provide basic information to establish a pressure standard and grade ranking. This studyused 40 medical compression stockings imported from 6 countries.

Bubble Formation Control: Fabrication of Centimeter‐Sized Tissue‐Like Constructs by Catalase‐Coated Oxygen‐Releasing Hydrogel

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐releasing hydrogels are widely used to support cell survival in 3D cultures and to promote wound healing. However, incorporating catalase to convert H2O2 into O2 often generates additional oxygen bubbles, leading to material instability which rarely addressed.

Correlating interface pressure with strain-induced electrical resistance changes of smart knitted compression stockings

open access: yesJournal of Industrial Textiles
Flexible strain sensors in textiles are attractive for sensing human body posture changes. Knitted compression garments used in various medical applications can be a suitable choice for such smart applications. However, compression stockings haven’t been

AI–Guided 4D Printing of Carnivorous Plants–Inspired Microneedles for Accelerated Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents an artificial intelligence (AI)‐guided 4D‐printed microneedle platform inspired by carnivorous plants for wound healing. A thermo‐responsive shape memory polymer enables body temperature–triggered self‐coiling for autonomous wound closure.

Stockings or bandages for leg-ulcer compression?

open access: yes, 2014
Background: Four-layer bandaging is the standard treatment for venous leg ulcers but is bulky and can restrict mobility. Two-layer compression stockings have recently been marketed but their clinical and cost effectiveness were unknown.

Multilayered Digital Microfluidic Chip for Cell‐Based Assays

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A multilayered digital microfluidic (mDMF) chip architecture is introduced to improve throughput and robustness in cell‐based assays. By multilayering electrode components and dielectric layers on glass, this design significantly reduces actuation voltage, maintains reliability, and enables expansion of the operational area with minimum current leakage.
