Computer Aided Design of Experiments
Technometrics, 1969A computer oriented method which assists in the construction of response surface type experimental plans is described. It takes into account constraints met in practice that standard procedures do not consider explicitly. The method is a sequential one and each step covers the experimental region uniformly.

Engineering design was one of the first contenders for the sensible application of automated computer graphics (ACG). However, early work in this area indicated that it was much harder than anticipated to obtain useful results to support or speed the design process.

Computer-Aided Design, Computer-Aided Engineering, and Visualization
2009This chapter is an overview of computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering and includes elements of computer graphics, animation, and visualization. Commercial brands of three-dimensional (3-D) modeling tools are dimension driven, parametric, feature based, and constraint based all at the same time.

technology computer aided design
2013The history of electronics devices is intimately tied with their modelling as shortly after the invention of the bipolar junction transistor, William Shockley published the corresponding theory based on approximate solutions of the semiconductor equations, which form the drift-diffusion model (DD).

Architectural design exposed: from computer-aided drawing to computer-aided design
Environment and Planning B: Planning and Design, 1986Computer programs for architects and designers still do not ‘understand’ very much about what they are modelling or representing. In this paper the argument is put forward that as computer-aided design systems show increasing intelligence by employing data structures that more closely represent the way buildings go together, designers will find that ...

Computer Aided Design for VLSI
1980Over the past three decades, we have witnessed the remarkable growth of the semiconductor industry from the invention of the transistor to an industry that is all-pervasive in its effect on modern life. LSI technology is visible everywhere; in our watches, calculators, automobiles, appliances, telephones, televisions, weapons, computers, and even our ...
