Today's supermarket shoppers need information on the “best” buys in terms of low prices, shopping convenience, and traveling cost. A survey of literature shows that there is no existing system which provides this information to the shoppers. In this paper we propose an urban supermarket shopping information system.

Journal of Urology, 1984
We have assembled a computer hardware system and have written software programs that convert analogue urodynamic input to digital data. This has allowed for 1) extremely accurate recording of urodynamic events with a higher frequency response than existing units, 2) data storage of urodynamic events in digital form on floppy disks, 3) retrieval and ...

Computer assisted grammar construction
3rd International Conference on Spoken Language Processing (ICSLP 1994), 1994This paper presents a system for computer assisted grammar construction (CAGC). The CAGC system is designed to generate broad-coverage grammars for large natural language corpora by utilizing both an extended inside-outside algorithm and an automatic phrase bracketing (AUTO) system, which is designed to provide the extended algorithm with constituent ...

Computer‐Assisted Frontal Sinusotomy
Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, 1994An osteoplastic frontal sinus flap with flat obliteration is the “gold” standard for the management of chronic frontal sinus inflammatory disease caused by obstruction of the nasofrontal duct. Frontal sinusotomy, with an osteoplastic technique, call for osteotomies, guided by a template obtained from a Caldwell radiographic view taken at a distance of ...

A remarkable and fundamentally new radiological technique has recently become available and has been in clinical use in North America since July 1973. In this British invention, the originality of the method lies essentially in the use of a small computer for processing of x-ray photon attenuation data, as measured by sodium iodide crystal detectors ...

Computer-assisted prescription writing
Computers and Biomedical Research, 1977Abstract A computer-assisted prescription writing system that can do most of what can be done with a prescription pad has been developed. It has advantages, which include speed and legibility. A coding method is used which is easy to remember and which follows the mental process used by the physician in writing a prescription.

Computer assisted diagnosis for ophthalmology
Computers in Biology and Medicine, 1978Abstract A prototype program for computer assisted diagnosis in ophthalmology has been developed. The program uses Bayes' rule[1] to compute probabilities that a patient has a certain disease, given signs, symptoms and laboratory results. Probabilities used in making the diagnosis change with information from patients from whom a diagnosis has ...
