Computer-generated holograms with error compensation
Applied Optics, 1988We analyze computer-generated holograms (CGH) of Lohmann types I and III and discuss their overall errors employing the following modifications, listed in order of increasing importance: phase-only correction (Ptype), virtual increase of the cell number, optimized use of the available plotting area, expansion of the amplitude dynamic range (D-type ...

Computer-Generated Cylindrical Hologram
Adaptive Optics: Analysis and Methods/Computational Optical Sensing and Imaging/Information Photonics/Signal Recovery and Synthesis Topical Meetings on CD-ROM, 2007It is difficult to make a computer-generated cylindrical hologram due to the needs of high resolution output and huge computation. We propose a new approach to calculate the cylindrical hologram of the 3D object.

Computer Generated Rainbow Hologram
Optical Review, 1999The rainbow hologram is very practical to display 3-D images because it can be reconstructed with white light. We propose a simplified model to calculate the computer generated rainbow hologram quickly. In the proposed method, we can simply generate the final hologram from intermediate data, whose total number of samples can be less than one tenth of ...

Computer-generated image hologram
Chinese Optics Letters, 2011We investigate the computer-generated hologram with full parallax and which can be reconstructed with white light. The object of the hologram is processed from three-dimensional computer graphics polygon data and has shaded surface for hidden surface removal. The optically reconstructed image from the printed hologram is evaluated.

Computer generated correlation holograms
2004 23rd IEEE Convention of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in Israel, 2004A new method of synthesizing computer generated holograms has been developed and experimentally tested. The method has been implemented by an iterative optimization algorithm on a joint transform correlator. The proposed hologram is a combination of two separated sub-holograms, and its reconstructed image is obtained as a result of a spatial ...

Basic stages in the synthesis of computer generated holograms are: (i) formulating mathematical models of the object and of the usage of the hologram; (ii) computing the mathematical hologram, or distribution of the wave front amplitude and phase in the hologram plane; (iii) encoding samples of the mathematical hologram for recording them on the ...

Double-multiplexed computer-generated holograms
OSA Annual Meeting, 1993The most important element in an optical data processor is the complex spatial filter. Lohmann and Paris1 invented the detour phase method for binary encoding of a complex filter function. The reconstructed object is obtained along the first diffraction order.

Computer generated holograms: an historical review
Applied Optics, 1987Since Gabor's first hologram, the meanings of that term have grown with increased use of the invention. Computers expanded applications further, and this paper surveys the methods and techniques of computer generated holograms.

Computer generated cylindrical hologram
SPIE Proceedings, 2005In this paper, we propose the new fast calculation method of computer generated cylindrical hologram and report experimental results of three-dimensional image reconstruction. Conventionally, it takes a huge amout of time to compute cylindrical hologram data, because it is based on a point-light object method.
