Progress in the development of a video-based wind farm simulation technique [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
The progress in the development of a video-based wind farm simulation technique is reviewed. While improvements have been achieved in the quality of the composite picture created by combining computer generated animation sequences of wind turbines with ...

A survey of computer animation

open access: yes, 1987
A survey on computer animation is presented with three specific goals: - To clarify what people understand by computer animation. - To separate the different aspects of computer animation and underline its main problems. - To present the different solutions given to these problems.

Accelerating Sono‐Piezoelectric Charge Transport for Antibacterial Therapy and Bone Regeneration by Metal‐Deficient TiO2 Spin‐Polarization Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The deficient TiO2 (DTO) and Barium titanate (BTO) heterojunction treats osteomyelitis through SDT. The spin‐polarization effect induced by the unpaired spin electrons in Ti atoms can expedite the transfer of ultrasonic piezoelectric charges in BTO, enhancing surface sonocatalytic efficiency.

Fabrication of Dual Photodynamic Enhanced Antimicrobial CDs@ZIF‐8/Polycaprolactone/Ethyl Cellulose Nanofibrous Films for Fruit Preservation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Carbon dots (CDs) are incorporated into ZIF‐8 to synthesize CDs@ZIF‐8 nanocomposites, which exhibit dual photodynamic enhanced antimicrobial properties. This enhancement is due to the narrow bandgap of CDs@ZIF‐8, which facilitates interfacial electronic transfer, resulting in increased reactive oxygen species. Microfluidic blow spinning is then used to

Ezetimibe Engineered L14‐8 Suppresses Advanced Prostate Cancer by Activating PLK1/TP53‐SAT1‐Induced Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
L14‐8, a small molecule derived from the marketed drug ezetimibe, potently inhibits advanced prostate cancer independent of androgen receptor signaling. L14‐8 binds PLK1, triggering its ubiquitin‐mediated degradation. This activates TP53‐dependent transcription of SAT1, inducing ferroptosis and suppressing tumor growth in prostate cancer patient ...

Analogous: Digital / Analogue Metaphors. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
When discussing our understanding of the world, the term ‘analogue’ has become shorthand for anything not digital, and has become an analogy of its own. ‘Digital’ has also become an analogy for anything requiring a computer.
