Tunable Thermoshrinkable Hydrogels for 4D Fabrication of Cell‐Seeded Channels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A thermoresponsive polymer with methacrylate groups for photo‐cross‐linking, based on polyethylene glycol, N‐isopropylacrylamide, and 2‐hydroxyethyl acrylate is synthetized to yield hydrogels that shrink upon temperature increase. The new polymer enables the fabrication of cell‐laden perfusable channels with diameters below 200 µm by combining ...

Collective Mind, Part II: Towards Performance- and Cost-Aware Software Engineering as a Natural Science [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Nowadays, engineers have to develop software often without even knowing which hardware it will eventually run on in numerous mobile phones, tablets, desktops, laptops, data centers, supercomputers and cloud services. Unfortunately, optimizing compilers are not keeping pace with ever increasing complexity of computer systems anymore and may produce ...

Laser‐Induced Graphene‐Assisted Patterning and Transfer of Silver Nanowires for Ultra‐Conformal Breathable Epidermal Electrodes in Long‐Term Electrophysiological Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel method using laser‐induced graphene (LIG) to enable high‐yield transfer of silver nanowire (AgNW) networks onto ultra‐low modulus, breathable silicone substrates. This approach creates ultra‐conformal epidermal electrodes (≈50 µm) for long‐term, high‐fidelity electrophysiological monitoring, even in challenging conditions ...

HENNC: Hardware Engine for Artificial Neural Network-based Chaotic Oscillators [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
This letter introduces a framework for the automatic generation of hardware cores for Artificial Neural Network (ANN)-based chaotic oscillators. The framework trains the model to approximate a chaotic system, then performs design space exploration yielding potential hardware architectures for its implementation.

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.
