AbstractConventional logic gates (e.g. AND gates) cannot be used for building a reversible computer. An appropriate design approach is necessary. Both small building blocks and a more complex circuit in MOS technology are presented. Today, these are useful in low-power digital electronics. Tomorrow, these may be useful in quantum computers.

FUTURE TRENDS IN COMPUTER HARDWARE [PDF]
Vector processors, parallel processors, and sequential processors with much concurrency are considered. Some real codes can be shown to be almost completely suitable for parallel and vector processors . However, vector to scalar speed ratios can be so large for the vector and parallel machines that even a small residual scalar content is a serious ...

A simulator for quantum computer hardware [PDF]
We present new examples of the use of the quantum computer (QC) emulator. For educational purposes we describe the implementation of the CNOT and Toffoli gate, two basic building blocks of a QC, on a three qubit NMR-like QC.
