We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Recognizing Computational Science
Science, 2006There are prestigious international awards that recognize the role of theory and experiment in science and mathematics, but there are no awards of a similar stature that explicitly recognize the role of computational science in a scientific field. In my view, this is a serious omission. In 1945,

Science, computational science, and computer science
Communications of the ACM, 1993We describe computational science as an interdisciplinary approach to doing science on computers. Our purpose is to introduce computational science as a legitimate interest of computer scientists. We present a possible foundation for computational science.

Frontiers for computer science in computational science
Proceedings of the 30th annual Southeast regional conference on - ACM-SE 30, 1992Computational Science (CPLSC) is an emerging discipline characterized by interdisciplinary team efforts and high precision computing. Computer science is just one dimension of this new discipline. We describe the Clemson program focusing on three major issues: (i) what are the foundations of CPLSC, (ii) how are we to educate computer science students in
