Tunable Enhancement of T Cell Expansion Through Modulation of Stiffness and Adhesion Receptor Engagement in an Engineered Hydrogel Platform

We develop a hydrogel scaffold with controlled substrate stiffness and ligand functionalization for cell culture. Stiff substrates presenting CD3/CD28/CD2 ligands induce 2000‐fold expansion of T cells; this is 68% greater than the clinical standard (Dynabeads) and the first hydrogel capable of large‐scale expansion. Crystal Growth Engineering for Dendrite‐Free Zinc Metal Plating

This research employed the rare‐earth ion dysprosium (Dy) to modulate aqueous zinc (Zn) metal plating. Integrated multiscale experiments and computational modeling unveiled the preferential adsorption of Dy on specific crystal facets, which activated screw dislocation‐driven Zn growth.
