Observations of Isolated Mobile Au–Br and Au–S Surface Complexes on Au(100) Electrodes
Angewandte Chemie, EarlyView.Fast scanning tunneling microscopy measurements reveal the formation of Au–Br and Au–S surface complexes on Au(100) electrodes in aqueous electrolytes. These complexes are stable and diffuse as molecular entities over the Au surface, demonstrating that surface transport via complexes has to be considered in wet‐chemical growth and dissolution processes.

Engineering Fluoroacetate Dehalogenase by Growth‐Based Selections on Non‐Natural Organofluorides
Angewandte Chemie, EarlyView.We present a high‐throughput selection system to engineer fluoroacetate dehalogenases (FAcDs). By challenging E. coli populations that produce diverse FAcD libraries to grow on non‐natural organofluorides as their sole carbon source, we isolated a panel of FAcD variants with improved activity and altered substrate specificity.
