Effect of Bioinoculum and Crop Waste at the Concentration of N, P, K and the Sustainability of Natural Resources in Soil Planted with Wheat

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science
Abstract For an evaluation the effect of bioinoculation and the process of mixing crops waste in the soil on the concentration of nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium), a field study was carried out by cultivating a wheat crop(Triticum aestivum L.) in Sumer City (District 5 South Abu Manihil), Al-Diwaniyah Governorate central of ...

Biodiesel fuel from waste cooking oil & RBD palm oil via transesterification reaction with the aid of sodium methoxide, methanol, and ultrasonic reactor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Currently, the world is murmured to environmental issues and energy resources that every day becomes crucial and chronic. Using petroleum diesel as well fuels from natural resources will contribute to air pollution due to high amount of air pollutants ...

Interaction between Molten Al‐Killed Mn–B Steel and Carbon‐Bonded MgO Refractories Based on Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.

Analysis of proximate and porosity variations in collagen powder derived from natural resources: Thunnus albacares skin with different NaCl concentrations

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science
Abstract Collagen from natural resources like yellowfin tuna skin (Thunnus albacares) skin is an alternative source of halal collagen that is rich in protein. The characterization of collagen starts with proximate tests like water, ash, protein, and fat content.

Zein‐Based Adhesives: Sustainable Extraction and Application in Bioadhesive Technologies

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Zein is extracted from corn gluten meal using a simple and scalable process with high yield (~90%). The resulting protein is applied in bioadhesives modified with Ca2+ and Fe3+ ions, exhibiting substrate‐dependent adhesion. The findings demonstrate competitive bonding performance and highlight the role of ionic interactions in tuning adhesion ...

Antibacterial activity of chitosan from natural resource: Penaeus monodon shell with various concentrations and deacetylation degrees against Lactobacillus acidophilus

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science
Abstract Lactobacillus acidophilus (L. acidophilus) is commonly found in the deep caries. Calcium hydroxide, a standard for direct pulp capping, has drawbacks such as tunnel defects. This study investigates the antibacterial activity of chitosan synthesized from Penaeus monodon (P.

Application of Raman and Photoluminescence Spectroscopy to MgO‐C Refractories

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Visible to near infrared luminescence of MgO is studied on MgO‐C bricks and nominally pure MgO powder, with focus on two similar sharp high‐intensity signals, at 699 and 871 nm, each surrounded by symmetrical sidebands. The nature of these sidebands is investigated by temperature‐dependent spectroscopic measurements, confirming phonon involvement by ...

High-Spatial-Resolution Helium Detection and Its Implications for Helium Accumulation Mechanisms

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Helium is a scarce strategic resource. Currently, all economically valuable helium resources are found in natural gas reservoirs. Owing to helium’s different formation and migration processes compared to natural gas’s, the traditional method of ...
