Sketch-Based Interfaces to Support Collaborative Conceptual Design Learning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In order to gain a better understanding of online collaborative conceptual design processes this paper investigates how student designers make use of Lyceum, a shared virtual synchronous environment when engaged in conceptual design. The software enables

β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

Weak Interactions in Atoms and Nuclei: The Standard Model and Beyond

open access: yes, 2003
Studies in nuclear and atomic physics have played an important role in developing our understanding of the Standard Model of electroweak interactions. We review the basic ingredients of the Standard Model, and discuss some key nuclear and atomic physics ...

Nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase promotes drug resistance in lung cancer, as revealed by nascent proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.
