THE ALGEBRAIC CONCORDANCE ORDER OF A KNOT [PDF]
The algebraic concordance group contains elements of order two, four, and of infinite order. Elements of infinite order are detected by the signature function. This paper develops computable invariants to simplify the computation of the order of torsion classes.

ON KNOTS WITH INFINITE SMOOTH CONCORDANCE ORDER [PDF]
We use the Heegaard Floer obstructions defined by Grigsby, Ruberman, and Strle to show that forty-five of the sixty-six knots through eleven crossings whose concordance orders were previously unknown have infinite concordance order.

Algebraic concordance order of almost classical knots
Torsion in the concordance group [Formula: see text] of knots in [Formula: see text] can be studied with the algebraic concordance group [Formula: see text]. Here, [Formula: see text] is a field of characteristic [Formula: see text]. The group [Formula: see text] was defined by Levine, who also obtained an algebraic classification when [Formula: see ...

On 3–braid knots of finite concordance order [PDF]
We study 3–braid knots of finite smooth concordance order. A corollary of our main result is that a chiral 3–braid knot of finite concordance order is ribbon.

Concordance measures and second order stochastic dominance - portfolio efficiency analysis
Portfolio selection problem is one of the most important issues within financial risk management and decision making. It concerns both, financial institutions and their regulator/supervisor bodies. A crucial input factor, when the admissible or even optimal portfolio is detected, is the measure of dependency.

Order in the concordance group and Heegaard Floer homology [PDF]
We use the Heegaard-Floer homology correction terms defined by Ozsváth--Szabó to formulate a new obstruction for a knot to be of finite order in the smooth concordance group. This obstruction bears a formal resemblance to that of Casson and Gordon but is sensitive to the difference between the smooth versus topological category.
