Entanglement Evolution in the Presence of Decoherence [PDF]
The entanglement of two qubits, each defined as an effective two-level, spin 1/2 system, is investigated for the case that the qubits interact via a Heisenberg XY interaction and are subject to decoherence due to population relaxation and thermal effects.

This paper starts with what seems a fairly general model of concurrent machines and, imposing certain constraints on labellings of input/output occurrences, derives an equivalent model based on a simple generalisation of the partial Mealy automaton.

Case report: Co-occurrence of Wilson’s and Alexander’s diseases revealed by genetic analysis
Wilson’s disease (WD) and Alexander’s disease (AxD) are two prevalent genetic illnesses in clinical practice. However, cases of concurrent WD and AxD have not been reported.

Concurrence in arbitrary dimensions [PDF]
We argue that a complete characterisation of quantum correlations in bipartite systems of many dimensions may require a quantity which, even for pure states, does not reduce to a single number. Subsequently, we introduce multi-dimensional generalizations

ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Osteosarcoma is a radioresistant tumor that may benefit from stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for locoregional control in metastatic/recurrent disease. We report institutional practice patterns, outcomes, toxicity, and failures in osteosarcoma patients treated with SBRT.

We investigate the dynamics of a maximally entangled mixed state (MEMS) under the action of correlated noise channels. The channel acts in a way that its successive uses are correlated. We have studied the MEMS properties, including quantum coherence and

The ground state entanglement in the $XXZ$ model
In this paper, we investigate spin entanglement in the $XXZ$ model defined on a $d$-dimensional bipartite lattice. The concurrence, a measure of the entanglement between two spins, is analyzed.

Enhancement of entanglement in one-dimensional disordered systems [PDF]
The pairwise quantum entanglement of sites in disordered electronic one-dimensional systems (rings) is studied. We focus on the effect of diagonal and off diagonal disorder on the concurrence $C_{ij}$ between electrons on neighbor and non neighbor sites $

ABSTRACT Introduction Neuroblastoma (NB) with central nervous system (CNS) metastases is rare at diagnosis, but occurs more often during relapse/progression. Patients with CNS metastases face a dismal prognosis, with no standardized curative treatment available.
