Concurrent validity of two language screening tests

Journal of Communication Disorders, 1987
The importance of ascertaining the validity of clinical instruments used to make decisions about individuals is discussed and the need for additional validation studies is emphasized. Steps that can be taken to confirm the validity for a particular application, setting, or population are described. As an example, the concurrent validity of two language

Concurrent Validity of Three Forced-Choice Measures of Symptom Validity

Applied Neuropsychology, 2011
Forced-choice measures of recognition memory are used to assess the validity of an evaluation by using cutoff scores that discriminate individuals demonstrating good effort from those who are intentionally performing suboptimally. The current study evaluated three measures of motivation in a clinical sample of over 150 individuals.

Convergent, Discriminant, and Concurrent Validity of Nonmemory-Based Performance Validity Tests

Assessment, 2018
To supplement memory-based Performance Validity Tests (PVTs) in identifying noncredible performance, we examined the validity of the two most commonly used nonmemory-based PVTs—Dot Counting Test (DCT) and Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale–Fourth edition (WAIS-IV) Reliable Digit Span (RDS)—as well as two alternative WAIS-IV Digit Span (DS) subtest PVTs.

Cultural Literacy: A Concurrent Validation

Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1992
E. D. Hirsch's (1987) book Cultural Literacy has raised much interest and controversy over the construct of cultural literacy. It is the purpose of this investigation to evaluate the reliability and the validity of the Cultural Literacy Test. The test was administered to 150 college students.

Concurrent Validity of the TONI-3

Journal of Psychoeducational Assessment, 2010
The literature pertaining to intelligence assessment reveals an ongoing discussion about the areas of intelligence captured by nonverbal tests. To date, few studies have investigated the criterion validity of the Test of Nonverbal Intelligence, Third Edition (TONI-3).

Concurrent Validity of a Pragmatic Protocol

Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools, 1987
The scores of 11 children on a Pragmatic Protocol were correlated with their ratings by five experienced judges on a 7-point, equal-appearing interval scale of communicative competence.

Validation of concurrent Ada™ programs using symbolic execution

1989
Symbolic execution is a well known technique for analyzing sequential programs. It has a set of important applications: it can be used for verifying the correctness of a particular path for all the input data which cause the execution of that path. It can support testing tools identifying the constraints that characterize the set of data which exercize

An MCM/Chip Concurrent Engineering Validation.

1992
Abstract : We report on the MOSTsoftware system, which implements a concurrent physical design environment for Multi-Chip Modules. The system integrates the work of design teams distributed across a network and using different CAD systems. At present the following systems have been Integrated: Cadence's Edge 2.1, Cadence's Allegro 6.1, AutoDesk's ...

Validating Programs in Concurrent ML

1999
Interactive and embedded applications often require an ability to deal with concurrent operations. In this chapter we give an overview of one way to extend a functional language with concurrency primitives. Unfortunately, the presence of concurrency may make programs harder to reason about because the flow of control is less perspicuous (as is the case

Cluster Validity by Concurrent Chaining

1983
A cluster is a maximal collection of suitably similar objects drawn from a larger collection of objects. Many cluster analysis procedures seek to determine a partition of objects into clusters, or more generally, to determine a hierarchy of such cluster partitions. Single-, complete-, and average-linkage are several of the most frequently cited methods
