Condensate Halos in Condensation Frosting
Abstract The freezing of water drops on cold solid surfaces is ubiquitous in nature, and generally causes serious technological, engineering, and economic issues in industrial applications. Despite longstanding research efforts, existing knowledge on dropwise freezing is still limited, as this phase‐change phenomenon is always ...

We give a pedagogical review of the properties of the various meson condensation phases triggered by a large isospin or strangeness imbalance. We argue that these phases are extremely interesting and powerful playground for exploring the properties of hadronic matter. The reason is that they are realized in a regime in which various theoretical methods

The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

(5-Hydroxy-3-methyl-5-trifluoromethyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)(2-hydroxyphenyl)methanone
In the title compound, C12H11F3N2O3, the hydroxyphenyl ring is twisted by 35.42 (11)° from the plane of the pyrazoline ring. The keto O atom is involved in two intramolecular O—H...O hydrogen bonds, which generate S(6) loops.

Improved General Correlation for Condensation in Channels
The present author’s general correlation for condensation in mini and macro channels which has been verified with an extreme range of data was further evaluated at quality x close to 1. Large deviations were found at quality x ≥ 0.99. The correlation was

Dropwise condensation on solid hydrophilic surfaces
Hydrophilic solid surfaces having low contact angle hysteresis can induce stable dropwise condensation. Droplet nucleation and condensation are ubiquitous phenomena in nature and industry.

Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

Kaon Energies in Dense Matter [PDF]
We discuss the role of kaon-nucleon and nucleon-nucleon correlations in kaon condensation in dense matter. Correlations raise the threshold density for kaon condensation, possibly to densities higher than those encountered in stable neutron stars.Comment:
