General equilibrium with banks and the factor-intensity condition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper looks at the role played by the factor-intensity condition in the model developed by Leao (2003). To do this, we examine how the model reacts when the factor-intensity condition is reversed so that the banking industry ceases to be the ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Length-weight and length-length relationships, relative condition factor and Fulton’s condition factor of five Cyprinid species in Anzali wetland, southwest of the Caspian Sea [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This study was conducted to determine length-weight and length-length relationships, relative condition factor (Krel) and Fulton’s condition factor (K) for five species including Scardinius erythrophtalmus, Carassius auratus gibelio, Cyprinus carpio ...

Similarity of endowments and the factor price equalization condition

open access: yes
We give a geometric interpretation of the lens condition, proposed by Deardorff as a shortcut for checking the factor price equalization (FPE) condition. We identify the conditions under which the lens condition implies the FPE condition. If the FPE zone

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Sufficient conditions for a graph to have factors

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 1990
This paper contains results (sufficient conditions) on the existence in a graph of an f-factor or a (g,f)-factor, g and f being integer-valued functions defined on the vertex set of the graph.
