Bank Discrimination in Transition Economies: Ideology, Information or Incentives? [PDF]
We study bank discrimination against private firms in transition countries. Theoretically, we show that banks may discriminate for non-profit reasons, but this discrimination diminishes with a bank’s incentives and human capital.
