Conditional Expectation Network for SHAP
A very popular model-agnostic technique for explaining predictive models is the SHapley Additive exPlanation (SHAP). The two most popular versions of SHAP are a conditional expectation version and an unconditional expectation version (the latter is also known as interventional SHAP).

Robust methods and conditional expectations for vehicular traffic count analysis
We study the problem of making algorithmic statistical inferences about the dynamics of city traffic. Our data is based on loop detector counts of observed vehicles in various roads in the city of Tampere, Finland.

Conditional Expectation Propagation
Expectation propagation (EP) is a powerful approximate inference algorithm. However, a critical barrier in applying EP is that the moment matching in message updates can be intractable. Handcrafting approximations is usually tricky, and lacks generalizability. Importance sampling is very expensive. While Laplace propagation provides a good solution, it

A metric space associated with probability space
For a complete probability space (Ω,∑,P), the set of all complete sub-σ-algebras of ∑, S(∑), is given a natural metric and studied. The questions of when S(∑) is compact or connected are awswered and the important subset consisting of all continuous sub ...

Cumulative conditional expectation index [PDF]
In this paper we introduce approximations of the cumulative conditional expectation function (CCEF) based on Bernstein polynomial copulas. These approximations converge pointwise and uniformly to CCEF. In addition some examples of the behavior of these approximations are shown.

Conditional Expectations for Unbounded Operator Algebras
Two conditional expectations in unbounded operator algebras (O∗-algebras) are discussed. One is a vector conditional expectation defined by a linear map of an O∗-algebra into the Hilbert space on which the O∗-algebra acts.
