Livelihood Diversification as an Adaptation Strategy to Climate Change and Household Food Security of Livestock Holders in Pakistan

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Rural farm households continue to face significant risks from climate change, resulting in many of them diversifying their livelihood sources into other income‐generating activities to increase their incomes and improve food and nutrition security. What Explains Racial Differences in Farm Succession Planning? Evidence From Decomposition and Counterfactual Analysis

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper examines racial differences in farm succession planning using survey data from Tennessee farmers. While observed differences between White and Black farmers are small, decomposition and counterfactual analyses show that structural characteristics, particularly farm size, would predict higher succession planning among White farmers ...

Does Contract Farming Reduce Pesticide Use? Panel Data Evidence From Smallholder Farmers in China

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The inappropriate and excessive use of pesticides poses a major threat to human and ecosystem health in the agri‐food sector. While existing studies have examined the potential of contract farming to address this issue, most have focused on large‐scale farms and relied on small or transactional datasets, often leaving the role of crop‐specific
