The author studies symmetric fuzzy measures on the power set of a set. She proves that the following are symmetric:{\parindent=6mm \begin{itemize} \item[(1)] coherent upper conditional probabilities defined by Hausdorff outer measures, \item [(2)] distorted coherent upper conditional probabilities defined by Hausdorff outer measures with concave ...

Complex decisions in human decision-making may arise when the Emotional Intelligence and Rational Reasoning produce different preference ordering between alternatives. From a mathematical point of view, complex decisions can be defined as decisions where a preference ordering between random variables cannot be represented by a linear functional.

On coherence and conditional prevision
Strengthening of de Finetti's coherence for conditional probability (or prevision) and extensions of the latter from a given class of events (or bounded random quantities) to any other larger class have been repeatedly given in the relevant literature (besides de Finetti himself for the strengthening in the case of conditioning with respect to any ...

Generalized coherence and connection property of imprecise conditional previsions.
In this paper we consider imprecise conditional prevision assessments on random quantities with finite set of possible values. We use a notion of generalized coherence which is based on the coherence principle of de Finetti. We consider the checking of g-coherence, by extending some previous results obtained for imprecise conditional probability ...

In a metric space, a necessary and sufficient condition is given for a coherent upper conditional prevision to be uniquely represented by the Choquet integral with respect to the upper conditional probability defined by its Hausdorff outer measure.

Upper and lower conditional probabilities induced by a multivalued mapping
Given a (finitely additive) full conditional probability space and a conditional measurable space , a multivalued mapping Γ from X to Y induces a class of full conditional probabilities on .

Some bounds for conditional lower previsions
2007In this paper we consider some bounds for lower previsions that are either coherent or centered convex. As for coherent conditional previsions, we adopt a structure-free version of Williams’ coherence, which we compare with Williams’ original version and with other coherence concepts.

An Operational View of Coherent Conditional Previsions
2001In this paper we propose a characterization theorem for coherent conditional previsions assessed on finite conditional random variables. The main feature is the direct applicability of the results to model practical problems. In fact the check of coherence and the inferential steps are reduced to the solvability of linear systems and of linear ...
