Neonatal Hypocalcemia and Related Conditions
Clinics in Laboratory Medicine, 1981Electrolyte abnormalities in the neonate, such as hypocalcemia, hyperphosphatemia, hypomagnesemia, and alkalosis, can predispose to neuromuscular irritability. The pathophysiology of these disorders and techniques for measuring serum calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus are discussed.

FRAILTY AND PAIN: TWO RELATED CONDITIONS
Journal of Frailty & Aging, 2015Frailty is a multidimensional syndrome, involving functional, nutritional, biological and psychological aspects. This condition, defined as a decreased resistance to internal and external stressors, is predictive of adverse health outcomes, including disability and mortality.

Having discussed the way in which conditional conjunctions are interpreted, the next problem to be treated is how a conditional relation is stored and transformed over time, and how it is reproduced. Here the question arises as to whether one conditional conjunction is more basic than another in the sense that one is more likely to retain and reproduce

Assessing Derived Conditional Relations Under Reinforcement Conditions
The Psychological Record, 2014The present study assessed derived conditional relations using a within-subject sequence of training and testing with reinforcement. In Experiment 1, four undergraduates were trained on two independent arbitrary-matching tasks (A–B and C–D). Next, they were given reinforced symmetry trials for half of the baseline stimuli (B–A and D–C).

Epididymitis, Orchitis, and Related Conditions
Sexually Transmitted Diseases, 1984Epididymitis is the most common intrascrotal inflammation. Retrograde ascent of pathogens is the usual route of infection. Nonspecific bacterial epididymitis is caused by various aerobic bacteria, is frequently associated with anatomic abnormalities, and represents the most common type of epididymitis in older men.

To cureleukemia and related conditions
In Vitro, 1978Cytogenetic and biochemical studies demonstrate that the majority of human neoplasms consists of clones of mutant cells (1-5). In leukemia as well as in certain related conditions such as polycythemia vera and myelofibrosis, the bone marrow can often be shown to be populated by proliferating tissue, the dividing cells of which essentially all bear the ...

XPath with Conditional Axis Relations
2004This paper is about the W3C standard node-addressing language for XML documents, called XPath. XPath is still under development. Version 2.0 appeared in 2001 while the theoretical foundations of Version 1.0 (dating from 1998) are still being widely studied.
