Functional variation among LPMOs revealed by the inhibitory effects of cyanide and buffer ions
This study addresses the inhibition of lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases (LPMOs) by cyanide and explains how and why the magnitude of observed inhibitory effects depends on the way LPMO reactions are setup and on the type of LPMO. Enzymes known as lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases (LPMOs) are mono‐copper polysaccharide‐degrading peroxygenases that ...

Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation—50 Years of Evolution and Future Perspectives
Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is a highly specialized and unique medical procedure. Autologous transplantation allows the administration of high-dose chemotherapy without prolonged bone marrow aplasia.

Low‐density lipoprotein receptor‐related protein 6 (LRP6) is a key receptor for the Wnt antagonist Dickkopf1 (DKK1). DKK1 protein expression is induced in a bleomycin (BLM)‐induced lung injury model. We show that DKK1 induces proinflammatory and profibrotic genes in lung fibroblasts.

Differential conditioning of conditioned enhancement and positive conditioned suppression [PDF]
Rats, barpressing for sucrose solution, were divided into three groups, each of which was exposed to a different VI schedule. During each session, four long tone CSs and four short light CSs were followed by a food pellet for half of each group. For the other half, the long CS was a tone and the short CS was light.

Characteristics of the Kelch domain containing (KLHDC) subfamily and relationships with diseases
The Kelch protein superfamily includes 63 members, with the KLHDC subfamily having 10 proteins. While their functions are not fully understood, recent advances in KLHDC2's structure and role in protein degradation have highlighted its potential for drug development, especially in PROTAC therapies.

Weighted conditional type operators between different Orlicz spaces [PDF]
In this note we consider weighted conditional type operators between different Orlicz spaces and generalized conditional type Holder inequality that we defined in [2]. Then we give some necessary and sufficient conditions for boundedness of weighted conditional type operators.

Insertion of the FeB cofactor in cNORs lacking metal inserting chaperones
Nitric oxide reductase is an enzyme found in the bacterial denitrification pathway. The NOR active site contains a non‐heme iron, often, but not always inserted with the assistance of chaperones. Here, we study the insertion of FeB in the subfamily of cNORs lacking chaperones and found a putative channel, conserved in the family, perhaps enabling the ...

An aberration criterion for conditional models [PDF]
Conditional models with one pair of conditional and conditioned factors in Mukerjee et al. (2017) are extended to two pairs in this paper. The extension includes the parametrization, effect hierarchy, sufficient conditions for universal optimality, aberration, complementary set theory and the strategy for finding minimum aberration designs.
