Non-equilibrium Steady State Conductivity in Cyclo[18]carbon and Its Boron Nitride Analogue [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Chem. Chem. Phys. 22, 23998-24003 (2020), 2020
A ring-shaped carbon allotrope was recently synthesized for the first time, reinvigorating theoretical interest in this class of molecules. The dual $\pi$ structure of these molecules allows for the possibility of novel electronic properties. In this work we use reduced density matrix theory to study the electronic structure and conductivity of cyclo ...

Emergent Hierarchy Through Conductance-based Degree Constraints

open access: yesNortheast Journal of Complex Systems, 2021
The presence of hierarchy in many real-world networks is not yet fully understood. We observe that complex interaction networks are often coarse-grain models of vast modular networks, where tightly connected subgraphs are agglomerated into nodes for ...

Electrical Conductivity of Fluorite and Fluorine Conduction [PDF]

open access: yesMinerals, 2019
Fluorine is a species commonly present in many minerals in the Earth’s interior, with a concentration ranging from a few ppm to more than 10 wt. %. Recent experimental studies on fluorine-bearing silicate minerals have proposed that fluorine might be an important charge carrier for electrical conduction of Earth materials at elevated conditions, but ...

Uniqueness in Calderon's problem with Lipschitz conductivities [PDF]

open access: yesDuke Math. J. 162, no. 3 (2013), 497-516, 2011
We use X^{s,b}-inspired spaces to prove a uniqueness result for Calderon's problem in a Lipschitz domain under the assumption that the conductivity is Lipschitz. For Lipschitz conductivities, we obtain uniqueness for conductivities close to the identity in a suitable sense. We also prove uniqueness for arbitrary C^1 conductivities.

Conductance-Voltage Characteristics of Single Molecule Junction: in Resonant Tunneling Regime [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2015
Electronic transport characteristics through a single molecule junction are investigated by using the Keldysh non equilibrium Green function (NEGF) model.

Quantized conductance of point contacts in a two-dimensional electron gas.

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1988
As a result of the high mobihty attamable in the twodimensional electron gas (2DEG) in GaAs-AlGaAs heterostructures it is now becoming feasible to study ballistic transport in small devices '"6 In metals ideal tools for such studies are constnctions ...

Molecular dynamics simulations highlight structural and functional alterations in deafness–related M34T mutation of connexin 26

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology, 2014
Mutations of the GJB2 gene encoding the connexin 26 (Cx26) gap junction protein, which is widelyexpressed in the inner ear, are the primary cause of hereditary non–syndromic hearing loss in severalpopulations.

Conductance renormalization and conductivity of a multi-subband Tomonaga-Luttinger model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We studied the conductance renormalization and conductivity of multi-subband Tomonaga-Luttinger models with inter-subband interactions. We found that, as in single-band systems, the conductance of a multi-subband system with an arbitrary number of subbands is not renormalized due to interaction between electrons.
