Investigation of Fault-Tolerant Capabilities in an Advanced Three-Level Active T-Type Converter [PDF]
A novel fault-tolerant three-level power converter topology, named advanced three-level active T-Type (A3L-ATT) converter, is introduced to increase the reliability of multilevel power converters used in safety-critical applications.

Dynamics of Conductive/Cooling Fronts: Cloud Implosion and Thermal Solitons
We investigate the evolution of interfaces among phases of the interstellar medium with different temperature. It is found that, for some initial conditions, the dynamical effects related to conductive fronts are very important even if radiation losses ...

Formation of X-ray emitting stationary shocks in magnetized protostellar jets [PDF]
X-ray observations of protostellar jets show evidence of strong shocks heating the plasma up to temperatures of a few million degrees. In some cases, the shocked features appear to be stationary. They are interpreted as shock diamonds.

Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

A New Fully Soft‐Switching High Step‐Up Interleaved Converter for Optimal Efficiency
A novel fully soft‐switching interleaved high step‐up converter is introduced in this paper. The suggested converter achieves high voltage gain using coupled inductors (CI) and a voltage multiplier cell (VMC).

A mixed finite-element formulation for the modal analysis of electromagnetic waveguides featuring improved low-frequency resolution of transmission line modes [PDF]
This paper presents an improved finite-element formulation for axially uniform electromagnetic waveguides. It allows for both dielectric and conduction losses and covers the entire range from optics down to the static limit.

Mass accretion to young stars triggered by flaring activity in circumstellar disks [PDF]
Young low-mass stars are characterized by ejection of collimated outflows and by circumstellar disks which they interact with through accretion of mass.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
