Understanding quantum interference in coherent molecular conduction
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2008Theory and experiment examining electron transfer through molecules bound to electrodes are increasingly focused on quantities that are conceptually far removed from current chemical understanding. This presents challenges both for the design of interesting molecules for these devices and for the interpretation of experimental data by traditional ...

By reversibly reconfiguring a single defect in a mesoscopic copper nanobridge [lt]10 nm wide, we have measured [ital both] the local interference and universal-conductance-fluctuation contributions to the impact of a single defect on the conductance. Both effects are in good agreement with the predictions of theory, despite the fact that the defects ...

Conducted and radiated interference measurements in the line-pantograph system
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2001We present the results of a measurement campaign aimed at investigating electromagnetic interference (EMI) phenomena in the interaction between overhead railway power supply lines and pantograph. In order to obtain such data, an experimental setup was assembled in a shielded room, consisting in a short section of overhead line and a full scale ...

Conductive and Inductive Interference of Urban Ropeways
2018 IEEE International Conference on Environment and Electrical Engineering and 2018 IEEE Industrial and Commercial Power Systems Europe (EEEIC / I&CPS Europe), 2018Growing population in general and especially in metropolitan areas demands innovations in urban development and land-use planning and therefore in transportation as well. Beside of the usual known transportation systems urban ropeways are getting increasing attention because of their advantages, attractive costs and new topological opportunities ...

Single-molecule conductance of dibenzopentalenes: antiaromaticity and quantum interference
Chemical Communications, 2021Single molecule junctions of antiaromatic dibenzo[ a , e ]pentalene are studied. 5,10 connection gives high conductance, whereas 2,7 gives low conductance due to destructive quantum interference. Comparison with aromatic analogues is made.

Influence of electronic interferences on the Andreev conductance
Physica B: Condensed Matter, 1994Abstract We have performed an interference experiment with two tunnel junctions between a thin normal metal wire and a superconducting fork. We have found that the subgap current is strongly modulated by the difference between the superconducting phases at the two junctions.

Interference effects in superconductor thermal conductivity
Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1990Abstract In the framework of the BCS theory, the influence of the interference effects on the thermal conductivity of a superconductor is considered under the condition of usual scattering and scattering on the superconductor gap fluctuations (Andreev scattering).

Conduction interference suppression for Tokamak accelerators
2014 IEEE International Power Modulator and High Voltage Conference (IPMHVC), 2014Due to its working modes, the Switching Mode Power Supply (SMPS) has low electromagnetic compatibility with other systems, such as Langmuir probes used in ion-source accelerators for heating plasma. Its high-frequency Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) is analyzed for its bias power suppl y of its core snubber.

Diagnosis of conducted interference with discrimination network
Proceedings of 1995 International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems. PEDS 95, 2002Power supply circuit testing for compliance to conducted emission limits utilizes a line impedance stabilization network (LISN) and is usually carried out during the final stage of the product design. However, the LISN measures only the total contribution of common-mode (CM) and differential-mode (DM) emissions in the live or neutral line.
