Comparative Analysis of Radiated Interferences and Conducted Interferences Generated from a SVC

2010 Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference, 2010
Static var compensator (SVC) devices have an increasingly extensive application in modern substations to achieve voltage stability. While, due to frequent switching of the thyristors, large amount of electromagnetic interferences (EMI) are generated, which can cause malfunction of SVC or unaccepted response of victim devices positioned nearby.

Intrinsically conducting polymers for electromagnetic interference shielding

Polymers for Advanced Technologies, 2005
AbstractThis paper summarizes and reviews the research on electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding with intrinsically conducting polymers (ICPs), mainly polyaniline (PANI) and polypyrrole (PPY), and their composites in various frequency ranges. ICPs are new alternative candidates for EMI shielding applications due to their lightweight, corrosion ...

Conductivity Corrections from Quantum Interferences

2018
In this chapter we exploit quantum interference (QI) corrections to the Drude conductivity in bilayer graphene devices as a sensitive probe to the presence of intercalated Li-ions. We first provide in-depth information on QIs in single layer graphene and bilayer graphene, including the theoretical framework and the mathematical description.
