Configuration Tools: Working Together [PDF]
Since the LISA conferences began, the character of a typical ‘‘large installation’ ’ has changed greatly. Most large sites tended to consist of a comparatively small number of handcrafted ‘‘servers’ ’ supporting a larger number of very similar ‘‘clients’

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Operads, configuration spaces and quantization [PDF]
We review several well-known operads of compactified configuration spaces and construct several new such operads, C, in the category of smooth manifolds with corners whose complexes of fundamental chains give us (i) the 2-coloured operad of A-infinity ...

A polycyclic configuration is an incidence structure satisfying the condition that its Levi graph is a semiregular bipartite polycircular graph with girth at least 6 and there exists a semiregular automorphism which fixes the two sets of the graph bipartition. In this paper, polycyclic configurations with small parameters are studied.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Novel orifice plate flowmeter: Fractal design and jet characteristics
Fractal theory was introduced to design multi-hole orifice plates (MHOP), and a novel fractal orifice plate (FOP-G2) flowmeter was proposed. Computational fluid dynamics was used to investigate the measurement and jet characteristics of various orifice ...

Configuration Flatness of Lagrangian Systems Underactuated by One Control [PDF]
Lagrangian control systems that are differentially flat with flat outputs that only depend on configuration variables are said to be configuration flat.

We define families of posets, ordered by prefixes, as the counterpart of the usual families of configurations ordered by subsets. On these objects we define two types of morphism, event and order morphisms, resulting in categories FPos and FPosv. We then show the following: - Families of posets, in contrast to families of configurations, are always ...

Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...
