A Metaheuristic Optimization Approach for Trajectory Tracking of Robot Manipulators
Due to the complexity of manipulator robots, the trajectory tracking task is very challenging. Most of the current algorithms depend on the robot structure or its number of degrees of freedom (DOF).

Mirror symmetries for brane configurations and branes at singularities [PDF]
We study local mirror symmetry on non-compact Calabi-Yau manifolds (conifold type of singularities) in the presence of D3 brane probes. Using an intermediate brane setup of NS 5-branes `probed' by D4 resp. D5 branes, we can explicitly T-dualize three isometry directions to relate a non-compact Calabi-Yau manifold to its local mirror.

DISCONNECTED REGIONS OF STABLE CIRCULAR ORBITS IN PRESENCE OF MASSIVE SCALAR FIELD
We study circular orbits around a static spherically symmetric configuration of General Relativity in presence of a nonlinear massive scalar field (SF). The problem deals with a family of solutions to Einstein – SF equations with the SF potentials that are

Q_l-cohomology projective planes and singular Enriques surfaces in characteristic two [PDF]
We classify singular Enriques surfaces in characteristic two supporting a rank nine configuration of smooth rational curves. They come in one-dimensional families defined over the prime field, paralleling the situation in other characteristics, but ...

Formulation of Shell Elements Based on the Motion Formalism
This paper presents a finite element implementation of plates and shells for the analysis of flexible multibody systems. The developments are set within the framework of the motion formalism that (1) uses configuration and motion to describe the ...

Generic singular configurations of linkages
We study the topological and differentiable singularities of the configuration space C(Γ) of a mechanical linkage Γin d-dimensional Euclidean space, defining an inductive sufficient condition to determine when a configuration is singular. We show that this condition holds for generic singularities, provide a mechanical interpretation, and give an ...

Atomic gases tightly trapped near the focus of an electromagnetic wave interact with photons that exhibit a complex structure, displaying strong gradients of field amplitude and local polarization that can lead to topological phase singularities.
