Complementary exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses of the French WISC–V: Analyses based on the standardization sample.

Psychological Assessment, 2018
Interpretation of the French Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Fifth Edition (French WISC-V; Wechsler, 2016a) is based on a 5-factor model including Verbal Comprehension (VC), Visual Spatial (VS), Fluid Reasoning (FR), Working Memory (WM), and Processing Speed (PS).

THE LEVENSON LOCUS OF CONTROL SCALES: CONFIRMATORY FACTOR ANALYSES AND EVALUATION

Social Behavior and Personality: an international journal, 1997
Confirmatory factor analyses were conducted to test the factor structure of several versions of Levenson's (1973) locus of control scales. Two- and three-factor models based on all 24 of Levenson's items and on 20 of her items were tested. The 3-factor models provided a good fit. Models proposed by R. M. Shewchuk, G. A. Foelker Jr., and G.

Joint confirmatory factor analyses of the DAS and WISC-R

Journal of School Psychology, 1992
This study investigated the joint factor structure of the Differential Abilities Scale and the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Revised for 115 children. Theoretically supportable models were compared to determine which model provided the best fit to the data.

Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses of the WISC-IV with gifted students.

School Psychology Quarterly, 2014
These 2 studies investigated the factor structure of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-4th edition (WISC-IV; Wechsler, 2003a) with exploratory factor analysis (EFA; Study 1) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA; Study 2) among 2 independent samples of gifted students.

Confirmatory factor analyses of Chinese students' evaluations of university teaching

Structural Equation Modeling: A Multidisciplinary Journal, 1998
Chinese University of Hong Kong students (N = 844) selected a “good” and a “poor” teacher, and rated each using a Chinese translation of the Students' Evaluations of Educational Quality (SEEQ) instrument. Multigroup confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) models, based on a 3 × 2 design, were constructed to test the invariance of the SEEQ factor structure ...

Taking another look at the sense of community index: Six confirmatory factor analyses

Journal of Community Psychology, 2020
AbstractPrevious studies focusing on the effects of the social aspects of community have often used the Sense of Community Index (SCI), despite other research showing that it is not a good‐fit measure for its expected dimensions. Using a sample of students from Brigham Young University, we performed confirmatory factor analysis of the SCI to assess 1 ...

Confirmatory Factor Analyses of the Anxiety and Depression Content Scales of the MMPI-2

Journal of Personality Assessment, 1997
A sample of 408 patients with substance use disorders was equally divided into derivation and cross-validation samples. All patients had taken the MMPI-2. Exploratory factor analyses of MMPI-2 item data in the derivation sample permitted construction of latent variable measurement models for the Anxiety (ANX) and Depression (DEP) content scales.

Comparison of Alternative Estimation Methods in Confirmatory Factor Analyses of the General Health Questionnaire

Psychological Reports, 2005
This paper examines the implications of violating assumptions concerning the continuity and distributional properties of data in establishing measurement models in social science research. The General Health Questionnaire-12 uses an ordinal response scale.

The dimensionality of the 12‐item version of the Eating Attitudes Test. Confirmatory factor analyses

Scandinavian Journal of Psychology, 1999
The assumed three‐dimensional structure of the 12‐item version of the Eating Attitudes Test was examined by confirmatory factor analysis in a non‐clinical sample of 224 female and 261 male adolescents in grade 8 aged 14–15 years. Alternative models were examined.

Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analyses of the Asian American Racism-Related Stress Inventory

Assessment, 2011
The authors conducted exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses of the Asian American Racism-Related Stress Inventory (AARRSI) to further examine the underlying factor structure in a total sample of 1,273 Asian American participants. In the first step of analysis, an exploratory factor analysis with 651 participants yielded a 13-item two-factor ...
