A Connection Formula for the q-Confluent Hypergeometric Function

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2013
We show a connection formula for the $q$-confluent hypergeometric functions ${}_2varphi_1(a,b;0;q,x)$. Combining our connection formula with Zhang's connection formula for ${}_2varphi_0(a,b;-;q,x)$, we obtain the connection formula for the $q$-confluent ...

Further extension of Voigt function and its properties

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
In this paper, by using the confluent hypergeometric function of the first kind, we propose a further extension of the Voigt function and obtain its useful properties as (for example) explicit representation and partly bilateral and partly unilateral ...

Single Cell Analysis Reveals the Presence of Novel Intermediate Cells in Both Mice and Patients With Severe MASLD

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 6, 31 March 2026.
Schematic overview of the experimental workflow combining single‐cell RNA sequencing and spatial proteomics in a murine model of MASLD. Tissues were isolated, dissociated, and processed for single‐cell transcriptomic profiling to identify distinct cellular clusters and define cell‐type–specific gene expression signatures. Computational analysis enabled

From Natural Discovery to AI‐Guided Design: A Curated Collection of Compact Enhancers for Crop Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 13, 3 March 2026.
This study establishes an integrated platform combining high‐throughput screening (STEM‐seq) and AI‐guided design (BaseSearch) to develop compact transcriptional enhancers in crops. We identified thousands of functional short enhancers (60–80 bp) across four species, with the strongest showing 46.3‐fold activation.

A new extended multivariable Horn function

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics for Industry
This study presents a new multivariable fourth class of Horn function. Additionally, for the new extended multivariable fourth-type Horn function, we create bilateral generating functions and particular generating functions for this multivariable fourth ...

An extension of beta function, its statistical distribution, and associated fractional operator

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
Recently, various forms of extended beta function have been proposed and presented by many researchers. The principal goal of this paper is to present another expansion of beta function using Appell series and Lauricella function and examine various ...

Macrophage–Derived Ferritin Exacerbates Silica‐Induced Pulmonary Fibrosis via PIK3R2‐Mediated Fibroblast Differentiation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 17, 23 March 2026.
This study identifies ferritin as a pivotal mediator of silica‐induced pulmonary fibrosis. Macrophage‐derived ferritin drives fibroblast‐to‐myofibroblast differentiation via the PIK3R2/SMAD pathway, while ferritin knockdown alleviates fibrosis. These findings define ferritin as both a biomarker and pathogenic driver, highlighting ferritin‐PIK3R2 ...

Creating Cell‐Based Hybrid Noodles for Sustainable and Nutrient‐Balanced Diets via a Serum‐Free and Animal‐Free 3D Co‐Differentiation System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 16, 18 March 2026.
This study develops a 3D co‐culture and co‐differentiation system for porcine muscle stem cells (pMuSCs) and mesenchymal stem cells (pMSCs) on edible starch‐based scaffolds. The system simultaneously generates myotubes and adipocytes without using serum or chemical inducers.

ROS‐Responsive Wedelolactone Hydrogel Promotes Intervertebral Disc Repair by Disrupting the NF‐κB–LCN2 Inflammatory Feedback Loop

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 14, 9 March 2026.
A mechanically robust, ROS‐responsive hydrogel is engineered to treat intervertebral disc degeneration by targeting the NF‐κB–LCN2 inflammatory feedback loop. By delivering wedelolactone specifically within oxidative niches, this system disrupts macrophage–disc cell crosstalk.

Population and single‐cell analyses reveal immune cell‐specific expression profiles associated with Alzheimer's disease risk

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Dysregulation of the peripheral immune system may increase Alzheimer's disease (AD) risk, but the underlying cell type‐specific mechanisms remain unclear. METHODS We conducted Mendelian randomization and colocalization analyses of 4489 genes using single‐cell expression quantitative trait locus data from unstimulated and ...
