Oppositely charged single enzyme nanogels (SENs) phase‐separate into bi‐enzymatic coacervate microdroplets, acting as both scaffold and functional units. By tuning SEN ratios, these coacervates create specific microenvironments that enable selective small‐molecule enrichment and efficient intermediate diffusion.

Scanning a microhabitat: plant-microbe interactions revealed by confocal laser microscopy
No plant or cryptogam exists in nature without microorganisms associated with its tissues. Plants as microbial hosts are puzzles of different microhabitats, each of them colonized by specifically adapted microbiomes.

Laser‐assisted synthesis enables rapid (within 1 h) and high‐yield (≥90%) production of Co‐MOFs with mesoporous structures, tunable magnetic and optical properties, and efficient adsorption of N2, CH4, and CO2 for low‐energy gas separation. DFT calculations elucidate the electronic structure and adsorption behavior.

ABSTRACT Periodontitis, a chronic inflammatory disease initiated and sustained by plaque microorganisms and host immune response, remains an intractable oral disease and a leading cause of tooth loss worldwide. Traditional mechanical debridement and adjunctive antibiotic or antiseptic therapy often shows limited efficacy due to the complex anatomical ...

Microscopic investigation of trichomes of wild-growing Satureja montana L. [PDF]
Considering the importance of S. montana L. as a medicinal plant, due to the essential oils produced in its glandular trichomes, and the lack of data about the leaf ultrastructure and micromorphology, we have carried out a comprehensive study of ...

Clearing pigmented insect cuticle to investigate small insects' organs in situ using confocal laser-scanning microscopy (CLSM) [PDF]
Various microscopic techniques allow investigating structures from submicron to millimeter range, however, this is only possible if the structures of interest are not covered by pigmented cuticle. Here, we present a protocol that combines clearing of pigmented cuticle while preserving both, hard and soft tissues.
