Aggregation and conformational studies on a pentapeptide derivative

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Proteins and Proteomics, 2008
Most of the disease causing proteins such as beta amyloid, amylin, and huntingtin protein, which are natively disordered, readily form fibrils consisting of beta-sheet polymers. Though all amyloid fibrils are made up of beta-sheet polymers, not all peptides with predominant beta-sheet content in the native state develop into amyloid fibrils.

ON THE HIGHER-DERIVATIVE CONFORMAL GRAVITY

Modern Physics Letters A, 1989
We consider the fourth-order conformal gravity theory. The quantization of the theory is presented in detail. We also calculate, using the heat kernel method, the one-loop divergence and conformal anomaly.

Conformation of a Polyfluorene Derivative in Solution

Macromolecules, 2004
The molecular weight and temperature dependencies of the intrinsic viscosity [η] were investigated for poly{2,7-[9,9-bis((S)-3,7-dimethyloctyl)]fluorene} (PDMOF) in tetrahydrofuran (THF). By analyzing the [η] data in terms of the touched-bead wormlike chain model, we estimated the persistence length q of PDMOF.

An Ahlfors Derivative for Conformal Immersions

The Journal of Geometric Analysis, 2013
The operator proposed here combines Ahlfors’s Schwarzian derivative S1 for curves in \(\mathbb{R}^{n}\) and a Schwarzian tensor for conformal local diffeomorphisms previously developed by Osgood and the author. We present its foundation in conformal connections, establish basic properties, and obtain injectivity criteria for conformal immersions into \(

Conformational Analysis of Sugars and Their Derivatives

1971
Publisher Summary The chapter focuses on the methods for determination of conformation of sugars and their derivatives. The study of the conformations of organic molecules pointed out that six membered ring-systems can exist free from bond-angle strain, in two puckered forms, the flexible or asymmetric form, and the rigid or symmetric (chair) form ...

Conformation and Atropisomeric Properties of Indometacin Derivatives

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2013
AbstractThe stereochemistry around the N‐benzoylated indole moiety of indometacin was studied by restricting the rotation about the NC7′ and/or C7′C1′ bond. In the 2′,6′‐disubstituted ones, an atropisomeric property was found and the atropoisomers were separated and isolated as stable forms. Their biological abilities to inhibit cyclooxygenase‐1 (COX‐
